Important! Please Read!
Moiliili Community Center is asking for the community’s help in the recent vandalizing of our vehicles and graffiti on our walls.
Our center has been servicing the community for 115 years this year.
We are one of the oldest Japanese Language Schools in Hawaii and offer free classes for our beloved seniors so we are looking for help since repair for the damages are so costly and we are just a non-profit organization.
The murals in our parking lot that was painted for our kids over 30 years ago and is irreplaceable. They have been spray painted over in blue and green spray paint. It’s heartbreaking to know that a part of our history is gone this way and so quickly. Even more heartbreaking to have to paint over it.
We are asking for the community’s support and help as well as any information they may have in finding the responsible party(ies) for the damages done to our center.
Please contact Nadine Nishioka, Executive Director at (808) 955-1555 if you are able to help in any way.
With sincerest gratitude.
